		<description>I tried this last night using a cast iron skillet, which I placed on my gas grill, rates removed so that the skillet sat right above the burners, and let it get up to about 600 degrees.  

Two minutes/side gave it a nice crust, but I found that 4 minutes in the oven was far too short for medium rare.  At 4 minutes, my instant read thermometer read about 120.  8 minutes gave me 135, which was just about right.</description>
